“Festival” is probably far to energetic a description for these events form the 24th April to the 4th of May!
The Slow Down London events are designed to “inspire Londoners to “challenge the cult of speed and to appreciate the world around us” according to the slow down London web site. Some of the events include meditation workshops and a slow walk across Waterloo bridge at rush hour. Others include “slow travel” a “slow food market” and even a “slow feast”!
As addicts our nature can tend towards full on or full off. Some of these exercises might prove to be very helpful towards finding a new balance in life and taking the time to appreciate the world around us and others in it as we storm through it.
